Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of talktolani.com and the Lani AI products and services. By using them you agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorized to bind it.

The service

Lani provides AI powered receptionist and customer communication software. We may change, add, or remove features as the product develops. If we make a change that materially reduces what a paying customer receives, we will tell you before it takes effect.

Your account

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us, for keeping your credentials secure, and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Lani to send unlawful, harassing, deceptive, or unsolicited messages, to impersonate anyone, to violate anyone else’s rights, or to break the law. If you use Lani to contact your own customers, you are responsible for having a lawful basis and the required consent to contact them, and for honoring their opt out requests. We may suspend an account that puts our carrier or vendor relationships at risk.

Messaging terms

This section describes the text message program operated by Lani AI LLC for our own prospects and customers.

Program description. If you provide your mobile number and agree to receive text messages, we may text you about a pilot you requested, a call you booked, a question you asked, or your account.

How to join. Check the SMS consent box on a form at talktolani.com, ask us to call or text you, or text us first. Consent is never a condition of any purchase.

Message frequency. Message frequency varies based on your activity and your conversation with us.

Cost. Message and data rates may apply. Lani does not charge for the messages themselves; your mobile carrier may.

How to opt out. Reply STOP to any message. You will receive one confirmation and then no further messages. Reply START to rejoin.

How to get help. Reply HELP, or email hello@talktolani.com.

Carriers. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is not guaranteed on every carrier or handset.

Privacy. No mobile information will be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. See our Privacy Policy.

Fees

Paid plans are billed in advance on the cycle shown at checkout and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and the cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. Fees already paid are not refundable except where we say otherwise in writing or the law requires it.

Your content

You keep ownership of the content you and your customers put through Lani, including call recordings, transcripts, and message history. You grant us the limited right to process it in order to operate the service for you. We do not sell it.

AI output

Lani generates responses automatically. It can be wrong. You are responsible for reviewing what it produces where accuracy matters, and for configuring the approval settings your business needs. Lani does not provide medical, legal, or financial advice, and nothing it generates should be relied on as such.

Third party services

Lani depends on providers including Twilio, ElevenLabs, Postmark, Supabase, Stripe, and Cal.com. Their outages or changes can affect the service, and we are not liable for them beyond what is set out below.

Warranty and liability

The service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or lost revenue.

Termination

You can stop using Lani at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, if your use creates legal or carrier risk, or if we stop offering the service. On termination we will give you a reasonable opportunity to export your data.

Changes

We may update these terms. We will change the effective date above, and for material changes affecting paying customers we will give notice before they take effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of laws rules.
