Privacy Policy
Effective August 9, 2026
Lani AI LLC (“Lani,” “we,” “us”) builds AI receptionist and customer communication software for service businesses. This policy explains what information we collect when you use talktolani.com or our products, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Mobile information and SMS consent
No mobile information will be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
Phone numbers are shared only with the service providers that deliver the messages you asked for, and only for that purpose. Those providers are listed under Service Providers below.
Information we collect
Information you give us
When you fill out a form on our site, request a pilot, book a call, or ask us to call or text you, we collect the information in that form. Depending on the form, that includes your first and last name, business name, website, email address, and mobile phone number, along with whether you checked the box consenting to receive text messages.
Information we collect automatically
We collect standard web analytics: pages viewed, referring page, browser and device type, approximate location derived from your IP address, and how you move through the site. We store a one way hash of your IP address rather than the address itself where we only need to tell visitors apart.
If we email you, we record whether the message was opened and whether links in it were clicked, using a tracking pixel and links that route through our own domain before forwarding you on. This is how we know whether our outreach is worth continuing. You can stop it by unsubscribing, which we honor on every message.
Information from your use of our products
If you are a Lani customer, our software processes the calls, texts, and emails your business exchanges with your own customers, including transcripts and recordings where you have enabled them. That content belongs to you. We process it to provide the service, and we describe our obligations around it in our Terms of Service.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve our products.
- Respond to you, including by phone, text message, and email when you have asked us to or consented to it.
- Send service messages about your account, your pilot, or a call you booked.
- Measure whether our marketing works, in aggregate.
- Detect abuse, prevent fraud, and meet our legal and carrier obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Text messages
We send text messages only to people who have asked for them: you checked a consent box on one of our forms, you asked us to call or text you, or you texted us first.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, and HELP for help. Opting out of text messages does not remove you from email, and opting out of email does not remove you from text messages, so tell us if you want both stopped and we will handle it.
Consent to receive text messages is never a condition of purchase.
Service providers
We rely on a small set of vendors to run the product. They process information only on our instructions and only to perform their function:
- Twilio for telephony and text message delivery.
- ElevenLabs for conversational voice.
- Postmark for transactional and outbound email.
- Supabase for application database and file storage.
- Stripe for payment processing. We never see or store full card numbers.
- Cal.com for scheduling.
- PostHog and Meta for website analytics and advertising measurement. These do not receive your mobile number.
Retention
We keep information for as long as we need it to provide the service and to meet our legal obligations. Records of consent and of opt out requests are kept for as long as carrier and regulatory rules require us to prove them, which is generally at least four years, even after you opt out. If you ask us to delete your data we will, apart from those records and anything we are required to retain.
Your choices
You can opt out of text messages by replying STOP, opt out of email using the unsubscribe link in any message, and ask us for a copy of your data or its deletion by writing to hello@talktolani.com. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights over your personal information, including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict our use of it. Write to us and we will honor them.
Security
We encrypt data in transit and at rest, restrict internal access to the people who need it, and store credentials in a managed secrets vault. No system is perfect, and we will tell you promptly if something happens that affects your information.
Children
Our products are built for businesses and are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the effective date above, and for material changes we will tell you directly.
